Brokeness

Lk. 1:26-38 Feast of the Immaculate Conception  This feast was created to show Mary’s purity, her innocense.  Last night I was surrounded by broken young men and women, the oldest of which was 25-broken, not easy kids, and one wonders: “Where is God?” But God is present in those kids, and is growing us in the midst of our brokeness: One Eucharistic invitation sums it up:

This is the table of Jesus.

It is made ready for those who love him and for those who want to love him.

So come, you who have much faith and you who have little,

You who have been here often and you who have not been here long.

You who have tried to follow and you who have failed.
