Costly Grace

James 5:1-6; Mk. 9:38-43, 45, 47-48  We are called to practice costly grace.  To give of ourselves to other people–of our money, our time, and our energy.  Human nature–be you homeless, poor, middle class, rich–basically summons us to be selfish–but Jesus calls us to be human–to give of ourselves.  A volunteer talkes about how different I am-because I give of myself to people–and I find it hard to understand a way of life but the reality people are basically selfish–Jesus calls us to “costly grace.” Deo Gratias! Thanks be to God!
