“It’s Up To Us”

June 5, 2011

Matt. 28:16-20 Feast of the Ascension. I believe God says to us when we scream what a rotten world–that is “why I put you there. Get busy.” Day by day in my own life I try to live simply, be present to those who have nothing, and to those who have all, I live in the moment, putting others before me, and that is the way I stay busy in bettering the world.  That is one of the reasons I am basically a vegan now as well. It all begins with us individually.

Prayer is Aways Answered

June 4, 2011

Jn. 16:23-24  Prayer has always been aswered in my life–maybe not in the way I had dreamed–but in ways that are far more fulfilling–I dreamed of a big ministry, and I have a small one, but one that fulfills my life, I dreamed of a secure life–and mine is on the edge–but always secure in God.  God aswers our prayers if we but listen and grab on to those answers.

Joy in Pain

June 3, 2011

Jn. 16:20-23  I have learned that pain and life’s difficulties are not the final word in life–but that they are learning experiences and in every small death in life is the hope of rising into a deeper life in Jesus.  Through the years day in and day out I have learned to trust in God more and more, and all is well

“Letting Go”

June 2, 2011

Jn. . 16:19-20  Pain turning into joy is a part of the human condition. But sometimes the pain results in loss.  I met with a man who 12 years ago bought into some accusations against me. It was sstrange how he continually brought up the past, a past long gone, long forgotten about, and long mended, and I realized that now it was my time to shake the dust off my feet and move on. It was sad, but there is joy in knowing that I tried.  I see this happen with the hurts of people all the time-they never let go and it haunts them all of their lives. There is a time to let go and move on.
